Enrollment Policy
Our school has a non-discriminatory admissions policy, reflecting the heterogeneous make-up of our islands. Grades K through 6 have only limited space available in each classroom for students transferring from non-Montessori backgrounds. This is to ensure that the wonderful focus and flo
w of our Montessori classrooms is not disrupted. If space is available for Non-Montessori transfers, there will be interviews and discussion to ensure that a Montessori environment will be beneficial to the child. Please check below to determine the specific enrollment requirements for each level of our school. Enrollment ProcedureReturning Students - All LevelsContracts will be distributed for returning students in the Spring of every year. The contract will be due back, signed with the Advance Deposit several weeks after they have been distributed (this is usually no later than Mid-April). The deposit and signed contract are the mechanisms by which space is reserved for your child for the next school year. If we do not receive the appropriate documents and fees, we cannot guarantee that your child will be included when developing the coming year's student rosters. We typically get a significant number of transfer requests from other schools over the spring and summer and would hate to fill a spot that should go to a returning student.
Financial Aid and Merit Scholarship awards are NOT automatically renewed from year to year. Financial analysis forms must be submitted in April for the coming school year. Financial Aid Information

New IA students are also required to write a 250-word essay on one of these topics:
The essay portion of the enrollment process is our recognition of the importance of what the prospective student writes about himself or herself. How much is written is less important that the content of what is written.
We are trying to get a sense of the prospective student as a distinct individual. The essay should be considered an opportunity to tell us what the prospective students thinks is important. Each student has a faculty advisor who guides the student’s academic choices as well as serves as the student’s personal counselor. The essay should be written on what the prospective student thinks would be valuable for their advisor to know about them. Enrollment Checklist - Part I
