In April, 2009 VIMSIA became the first and only IB World School in the U.S. Virgin Islands!  We received notification from the International Baccalaureate Organization in Geneva that we had been authorized as an IB World School!  Our first IB Diplomma Programme class will be graduating in Spring of 2011!  In March of 2010, we received our MYP (Middle Years Programme) authorization from the IBO, accrediting that program for grades 7 through 10.  We are now one of only 173 schools in the world (IN THE WORLD!) that offer both the MYP and DP programs through the International Baccalaureate Organization.  Add the 7th - 12th grade IB authorization to our Montessori accreditation through Association Montessori Internationale for the Primary through Upper Elementary Levels (ages 3 - 12), and we are truly among the most unique schools in the world.
