Our current Montessori Director, Ms. Norma Bolinger, has been affiliated with VIMSIA for over two decades. She ran the Casa Program, taught as a Primary Teacher and for the past six years has been the Montessori Director. We appreciate and respect Ms. Bolinger and are making every effort to honor her request to move back into her beloved Primary classroom fulltime. Spanish Speaking Teacher's Assistant
Our Montessori Primary program (Pre-Kindergarten/Kindergarten) is in need of an assistant teacher from 7:30AM - 4:00PM. A significant portion of our Spanish Infusion program at VIMSIA includes employing Spanish Speaking Teacher's Assistants. This role fulfills the requirements of an AMI Assistant Teacher, plus, provides a backdrop of Spanish language for the students throughout the day. Candidate should speak Spanish and English fluently and have experience working with children. Must have at minimum a High School Degree, however, a Child Development Associates Degree is preferred.

Peter Gruber International Academy (PGIA: Grades 7 - 12)
PGIA candidates must be amenable to teaching under the auspices of the International Baccalaureate Programme (www.ibo.org). All PGIA teaching curriculum will be based on the IB MYP program for grades 7-10 and the IB DB program for grades 11 & 12. Our school is proud to be the first and only International Baccalaureate World School in the US Virgin Islands. In April 2009 we received our IB Diploma Programme authorization for Grades 11 and 12, in March of 2010 we received our IB MYP authorization for grades 7-10.
In the PGIA, we are always interested in reviewing resumes for experienced Middle or High School applicants for all disciplines, preferably with at minimum one year teaching experience and International Baccalaureate (IB) teaching experience. We are able to provide IB training for otherwise viable candidates. We review viable middle and high school teaching resumes year round.

At the primary and elementary level (3 years old through 6th grade), we are an Association Montessori Internationale (AMI) school and require that lead primary and elementary teachers - Primary, Lower and Upper El - are AMI certified.
