Meet your 2023-24 Student Council!

We are excited to announce that the 2023-24 PGIA Student Council is up and running! On September 5th, we elected our officers:

  • Jackson Auchincloss, President

  • Divina Kamra, Vice President

  • Amelie Zucker, Treasurer

  • Zia Zucker, Secretary

  • Officer Sofie Kappel, Public Relations Officer

These students jumped in and got to work immediately, creating a document outlining expectations on the council and providing an orientation to candidates for class representative.

This past Wednesday, September 13th, we held elections for the class representatives. Students who had attended the orientation were able to give speeches during grade-level advisories, and the ballots were completed online. Here are the results:

  • Ani Bloedorn, Grade 6

  • Rowan Walters, Grade 7

  • Dre Bloedorn and Ellie Fisher, Grade 8

  • Asar Gregory, Grade 9

  • Micah Auchincloss and Kaden Fisher, Grade 10

  • Aysia Frett, Grade 11

We have two reps for 8th and 10th grades because these classes are fairly large and spend much of the day in separate classes. Three of our officers are seniors, so there was no need for an additional class representative for 12th grade.

One fun fact - this is quite the family affair this year! We have two Auchinclosses, two Bloedorns, two Fishers, and two Zuckers! Those will be some busy families.

There was healthy competition, and all the students who stepped up to campaign for a spot are worthy of our respect and admiration. I am truly proud to be able to teach at a school with such an amazing student body.

Keep an eye out for updates from our PR Officer, Sofie Kappel, as I am sure the council will be kicking things off with a bang! -Ms. Bump
