Grades 1-12 // Tuesdays AND Thursdays 3:30-4:30
August 31 - December 17, 2026
High Voltage is VIMSIA's new All-Star cheer and stunt program open to all STT/STJ students (public schools, private schools, and homeschools) entering grades 1-12 in the 2026/2027 school year. Athletes will train in competition cheer: teamwork, stunting, jumps, and tumbling. High Voltage does not participate in sideline cheers at games.
All interest and skill levels are welcome! No one will be turned away and we will do age appropriate skills development for all participants.
Instructors:
Ms. Jenny Alvauaje (VIMSIA Math Teacher) cheered coed all star cheer for 10 years and competed nationally. She coached all star divisions 1-4 for five years in Los Angeles and Boston.
Ms. Jessica Byrd (VIMSIA Director of College Counseling and Advisory) cheered coed 4 years and All-American cheerleader at the Hula Bowl. She also coached high school coed for 7 years here on St. Thomas.
Practices will be held at the Virgin Islands Montessori and Peter Gruber International Academy (VIMSIA) on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Note -Class is on both Tuesdays and Thursdays!
High Voltage aims to keep participation as accessible as possible while providing a high-quality cheer experience.
Families should anticipate costs associated with:
*Class Cost for the Semester: $448.05 (this is the minium, required fee for all participants)
*Uniforms/gear: TBD up to $300 - Uniform purchase will depend on number of participants and skill levels
*Travel (flight, hotel, ground transportation): TBD - Travel is not mandatory to participate in the classes. Travel will depend on number of participants, longevity, skill level etc.
